BH Series Biohazard Class A Hood

The BH Series Biohazard Class A Hood is a microbiological safety hood which is also known as laminar flow workbench. The Hood has been designed to work specifically with radioisotopes.

Some of the main features is that it is available with Pb 5 or 10 or 30 or 50mm shielding. The shielding is in the side panels and work surface. The shielding elements are made with primary ingots (Pb 98% + Sb 2% purity) and has a AISI 304 stainless steel work area.

The BH Series Biohazard Class A Hood has a filtration system to generate laminar flow in the Class A area. It is mounted with HEPA H14 absolute filtering cartridge.

The Hood has air inflow according to reference standards aswell as an air outflow filtration system made with HEPA H14 absolute filter.

The FHR1 50 LAF Shielded Radiochemistry Fume Hood with Laminar Flow is a radiochemistry shielded hood for manipulations at medium activity.

The Hood is made with frontal sliding shield and laminar flow. The FHR1 50 LAF Shielded Radiochemistry Fume Hood workstation is suitable for the decomposition of the air-hanging radio-isotopes coming from the manipulation of liquid or volatile gaseous substances.

Some of the Accessories that comes withe the FHR1 50 LAF Hood are BMI mobile lead shielding with shielded glass and LED lamps for lighting. It has panels with 4 electrical feeding sockets and manometres for filters control (inlet and outlet filters).

The LAF Hood has probe for LAF air speed and bar with hooks to hold bags aswell as 4 technical gases inputs with absolute filter and active charcoal filter fitted with housing with barrier bag for safe replacement operation.

The FHR1-FHR3-Radiochemistry Fume Hoods is a Hood where the work area is fully made of AISI 304 INOX stainless steel. The Hood surface is finished with Scotch-BriteTM.

The FHR1-FHR3-Radiochemistry Hood has all the joints made by suitably smoothed and ground arc welds in an environment of inert gases. This Hood structure is hardened by a box-type INOX steel sheets. This type of Radiochemistry Hood has a worktop which is equipped with a raised edge in order to prevent the leakage of contaminated liquids.

This type of hood is closed at the front area by an acrylic glass slide rail which runs between the polizene lateral guides. Some of the features of this radiochemistry fume hood has a front closing with Plexiglas vertical sliding door and a adjustable by-pass of the air flow. It has a double-walled aspiration system for frontal air speed of 50 cm/sec. At the same time it has a filtration system with activated carbon filters integrated into the hood structure. The Hood has a protected replacement of the filter with a canister equipped gullet for the positioning of the barrier sack. It has a Controlled discharge of radioactive liquid waste into a polyethylene bin with a capacity of 20 litres, electric gear case with external capacitive level probe, automatic interruption of the water flow when the container is full.

The Hood has a Diaphragm Keyboard with decontaminable surface and a gas spout with remote control. It is possible to use it with starting and interruption of the water through the use of photoelectric cells controlled by the operator’s feet.

The FHR1 50 Fume Hood is a workstation for the decomposition of airborne radioisotopes coming from the change in the volatile liquids or gas substances.

The FHR1 50 Fume Hood is made of 1.5 mm thick AISI 304 stainless steel with Scotch-BriteTM finish all over. It is designed in accordance with the current Radioprotection standards. The Hood frame is ground based on feet that can be levelled and adjusted in height with a polyamide-supporting base.

Some of the features of the Hood is that it is equiped with LED lamps for lighting and panels with electrical feeding sockets. It also has BMI sliding shield with glass window.

The Hood has pressure gauges for filters obstruction control aswell as absolute filter and active charcoal filter fitted with barrier bag housing for safe replacement operations. It is equiped with 4 technical gas inlets and has a shielding made of lead with a thickness of 50 mm. These lead parts are mounted in the following parts: Worktop, two outer side walls, front wall, back wall and in a front as a sliding protection with lead glass window.
