The Eckert and Ziegler Isotope products (EZIP) Co-57 Flood Source is a uniform field of radiation for evaluation of Nuclear Medicine gamma camera performance, allowing detection and correction of any camera malfunction prior to diagnostic use.

The Flood-sources C-Thru™ Holder
C-Thru’s source holder is made of transparent, durable plastic. The radioactive area is clearly visible to make it posible for the C-Thru source to be easily positioned on the camera head.

The C-Thru Holder comes in different active dimentions from 8.9" to 24.4".

The Flood-sources contain 3 products - Featherlite, C-Thru and Perflexion.

The Eckert and Ziegler Isotope products (EZIP) Co-57 Flood Source provides a uniform field of radiation for evaluation of Nuclear Medicine gamma camera performance, allowing detection and correction of any camera malfunction prior to diagnostic use.

The Eckert & Ziegler-Flood Sources EZIP’s FeatherLite Co-57- is made of cobalt chloride uniformly dispersed onto a thin substrate which is then placed in an ABS
encapsulation and ultrasonically welded.

The FeatherLite weighs 60% less than other rigid flood sources. Due to this, it is easier to handle, causing less problems with backpain. The FeatherLite is available for all common cameras. The FeatherLite comes in different active Dimensions from 10.0"- 18.5" - 24.0".

The Flood-sources contains a pakage of 3 products - Featherlite,C-Thru and Perflexion.

The Eckert and Ziegler Isotope products (EZIP) Co-57 Flood Source is a uniform field of radiation for evaluation of Nuclear Medicine gamma camera performance, allowing detection and correction of any camera malfunction prior to diagnostic use.

The Perflexion flood source package contain the Co-57 uniformly dispersed in a polyurethane matrix inserted in a flexible coated-fabric capsule.

The Perflexion™ flood source reduces bulk and weight due to its flexible design and composite Wolfguard shield made of tungsten.

The Perflexion comes in active dimentions from 16" up to 24"

Pen Point Markers

Pen Point Markers (PP-057)

The Eckert & Ziegler EZIP Pen Point Marker is being used to mark a point or region of interest during SPECT studies.

This Co-57 Pen Point Marker is contained in a resin matrix at the end of a 5.4” (13.7 cm) anodized aluminum rod. The point Marker is pen-shaped rod screws set into a brass cap which will shield the active point.

This Eckert and Ziegler Pen Point Marker is used for tracing the outlines of anatomical features on a patient. The trace appears almost instantly on the image display. The contained activity is supplied as a nominal value +/-15%.

Dose Calibrator Reference Sources for RV or E-Vial

The Dose Calibrator Reference Sources for RV or E-Vial offers a convenient and secure method to calibrate instruments. This to measure the accuracy of imaging solutions most commonly used by most medical technicians in this field.

The Dose Calibrator Vial source has a manufacturing proces in which it is being distributed by the active element in 20 mL of epoxy, which means that it comes with a density of approximately 1.0 g/cm3. Each standard source is delivered in a 27 mL polyethylene vial.

The Dose Calibrator Vial source's calibration is in terms of activity contained in an aqueous solution for NIST that has a traceable within ±5% at the 99% confidence level.

Sources for SPECT

The Eckert & Ziegler - EZIP manufactures- a range of Attenuation Correction line sources for Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) studies.

The normal procedure to develop a SPECT image is by measuring a collimated radiation beam emitted from a patient’s body. In order to produce the radiation beam it is by injecting a known radiopharmaceutical into the patient.

The image quality of EZIP- SPECT can show unquantified attenuation effects due to the passage of the beam through tissue of varying density and thickness. In order to produce a “control beam” a line source is utilized which measures concurrently with the “radiopharmaceutical beam.” The two beams are integrated and patient specific attenuation is calculated. Using the 2 beams will result in an image that is of higher quality than an image produced without attenuation correction.

In Attenuation Sources for SPECT studies are that Gd-153, Co-57 and Ba-133 is the typical nuclides to be used. These sources are in both line and point geometriesare singly or doubly encapsulated. These nuclides activities and dimensions are manufactured in accordance of EM Camera manufacturer specifications. Applies with diffent Camera Manufactures (Siemens Medical soulutions and Philips Healthcare).

Spot Markers

Spot Markers (SM-057)

The EZIP's Spot Markers is being used to secure patient orientation during SPECT studies. The Spot Marker is a 0.136” (3.45 mm) diameter active area which is marked with purple epoxy and centered in a 1” x 0.250” (25.4 mm x 6.35 mm) acrylic disk which is clear.

The Spot Markers contained activity is supplied as a nominal value ±15%.

The Eckert & Ziegler Sources for PET - EZIP is the main manufacturing for the product source for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) studies.

The Eckert & Ziegler Sources for PET - EZIP is a manufacturer of Ge-68 Transmission Sources and Quality Assurance Sources for major PET camera makers.

To mention some of the suitable camera applications it would be GE Healthcare, Siemens Medical Solutions, Positron Corporation, and others.

The Eckert & Ziegler, EZIP has particular produced the Cs-137 and Na-22 sources for PET cameras. It is also possible for EZIP to manufacture a customised version of the Sources due to custom needs.

Pre-Clinical Imaging

These Isotope Laboratory Products offers the most advanced comprehensive line of small preclinical imaging sources. This would be, cylinder and multimodal phantoms, point sources, line sources, and multimodal fiducial markers.

The preclinical imaging sources helps to calibrate the sources, being able to live up to the highest standard of accuracy for the best possible results.

The cylinder Phantoms are sealed cylinder phantoms which are available in both Primate and Rodent size with activity up to 2mCi. The multimodal Mouse Phantoms are unique products, which features hot spot “lesions” embedded directly in the low-level background matrix, as well as an embedded bone equivalent skeleton with “bones” as small as 0.5 mm.
